Terms for using CoHavn.

These terms set the ground rules for using the CoHavn app, website, and related services.

Effective February 19, 2026 · Last updated August 19, 2026 · Version 1.1

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Forefront Web Technologies Limited Liability Company (“CoHavn,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account, accepting these Terms in the app, or using CoHavn, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. What CoHavn provides

CoHavn provides tools for households to coordinate calendars, tasks, shopping, budgets, meals, member roles, invitations, and related household activity. Features may differ by platform, account, region, or release stage and may change as the product develops.

CoHavn is currently offered through a limited beta. Beta features may be incomplete, change without notice, or experience interruptions.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use CoHavn. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

You may use CoHavn only where doing so is lawful. You must provide accurate account information and keep it reasonably current.

4. Accounts and security

  • You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping credentials secure.
  • Do not share passwords or authentication codes.
  • Tell us promptly through the contact form if you suspect unauthorized account use.
  • Household invite codes and QR invites should be shared only with people you intend to admit to the household.

We may require verification, restrict access, or suspend an account when reasonably necessary to protect users or the service.

5. Your content and shared households

You retain ownership of the information and content you add to CoHavn (“User Content”). You give CoHavn a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, transmit, display, back up, and otherwise use User Content only as needed to provide, protect, and improve the service.

Content added to a household is shared with that household’s members. Members may view or change shared content depending on their role and the feature. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to add and share the content you provide.

When you leave a household, shared content may remain available to its other members. Household administrators may manage members and settings and may be able to remove the household. The app will present available controls and relevant warnings.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use CoHavn to:

  • Break the law, infringe rights, deceive, harass, threaten, or harm another person.
  • Upload malware or content designed to disrupt or compromise a system.
  • Probe, bypass, or interfere with authentication, access controls, usage limits, or security measures.
  • Access another person’s account or household without permission.
  • Scrape, resell, reverse engineer, or automate access except where applicable law permits or we authorize it in writing.
  • Use the service to send spam, unsolicited marketing, or other abusive communications.

We may remove content or restrict access when we reasonably believe these rules have been violated.

7. Budget information is not financial advice

CoHavn’s budget and bill features are organizational tools. CoHavn is not a bank, payment processor, accountant, investment adviser, or financial adviser. We do not verify the accuracy of information you enter and do not execute or guarantee payments. You are responsible for reviewing due dates, amounts, calculations, and financial decisions.

8. CoHavn materials and feedback

The CoHavn service, software, visual design, trademarks, logos, and original content—excluding User Content—are owned by Forefront Web Technologies Limited Liability Company or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

If you voluntarily provide product feedback, you permit us to use it without restriction or compensation, provided we do not publicly identify you without permission.

9. Availability, updates, and third parties

We may add, remove, modify, suspend, or discontinue features. We do not guarantee that CoHavn will always be available, error-free, or compatible with every device. You are responsible for maintaining supported software and a suitable internet connection.

CoHavn relies on third-party services, including cloud hosting and authentication providers. Their outages, policies, and terms may affect the service. Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience; we do not control their content or practices.

10. Disclaimers and limits on liability

CoHavn is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CoHavn and its officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or use.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from the service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid CoHavn during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or 100 US dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

You agree to indemnify and hold CoHavn harmless from third-party claims resulting from your unlawful use of the service, your User Content, or your material violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using CoHavn at any time and may use the in-app account-deletion process. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk or legal exposure, abuse the service, or if we discontinue CoHavn.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, limitations, dispute provisions, and obligations relating to prior conduct—will survive.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Before starting a formal proceeding, you and CoHavn agree to make a good-faith effort to resolve the dispute informally for 30 days after written notice through our contact form.

Except for eligible small-claims matters or requests for injunctive relief concerning intellectual property or unauthorized access, disputes arising from these Terms or CoHavn will be resolved by binding arbitration on an individual basis. You and CoHavn waive the right to a jury trial or class action to the fullest extent permitted by law.

13. General terms and changes

These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and CoHavn regarding the service. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a reorganization or business transfer.

We may update these Terms. We will post the current version here and update the date above. If changes materially affect your rights, we will provide additional notice when required. Continued use after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

14. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be submitted through the CoHavn contact form.
